Depression is the reaction to losing something that was considered important. The roots are in the past. For example, you may lose someone you love deeply and that can cause depression. On the other hand, if you lost ten cents and that was all the money in the world, which can also cause depression.
Anxiety, however, is a fear of the future, either known or unknown. For example, waking up in the morning and the fear of sensation in the mouth of the stomach, and yet have no idea of why. Or it could be a feeling of fear of making a speech before a small group of members of the family at a dinner. Either way, which is anxiety.
Symptoms: depression manifests as a lack of interest in life itself, pessimism and the belief that the future has nothing of value. Note, in truth, depression the fear of the future is not present, but sometimes a person with depression become anxious and afraid of the unknown future.
The body slows down and some chemicals are released. similar (endorphins) chemicals are released when a patient relax deeply, for example, while low hypnosis. As a teacher in everyone of Hypnotherapy, I always stress in my training in Hypnotherapy "depression is a contraindication for the use of hypnosis."
If using hypnosis with a depressed patient can drill in the State of depression even further due to the increased release of endorphins.
Obviously, hypnosis using a client that is suffering from anxiety must be applauded as a relaxed induced State eliminates anxiety and provides an analysis of why the disease no-crítica.
Treatment: people suffering from anxiety always should be taught a relaxation technique to allow the body to return to normal since anxiety may not feel when the mind and body relax.
In both cases, it is absolutely essential that the reasons for depression or anxiety is understood. With depression affecting almost always knows what causes. With anxiety, if it is considered a problem, the cause is usually be unknown.
However, with the analysis, as either a method not of relaxation for depression or anxiety, relaxation techniques imaging techniques patient can learn to handle the situation in a more beneficial manner.
Here are two examples.
With depression, knowledge of the stages of a depressed will experience as depression takes over, a victim to help you understand what is happening to him or her. This can help pass the time required for depression 'subsided' in the vast majority of cases, "the time cure."
Of course, there are other forms of depression not passed at the time. depressive A 'maniac' will attest to this and the only obvious resource is the prescribed medication and enter into a long-term therapy. But if you are suffering from depression as you read this, please remember that these are exceptional cases, as most depressed people communicate well with the passage of time.
prescription drugs for depression or anxiety or you only should take on a temporary basis as a victim can be dependent on them.
There are two treatment for anxiety. If the cause is known, for example feeling of fear of flying, then you can teach techniques that allow you to relax (do you remember what I said about being unable to feel anxiety when relaxed?) In the situation that causes anxiety.
If the cause is unknown, the use of some kind of psychological treatment may be necessary. Inevitably, this would be in the form of analysis of the problem and then learn how to deal with the anxiety.
You are not alone: in both cases, the victims are not alone, since nearly everyone at some point in their lives suffer from depression or anxiety, or even both.
The depth of depression or anxiety level depends on individual circumstances and personality of a person who suffers from.
Unfortunately, those of us who are sensitive and the care suffer, but always help is at hand.
